debinconcita and emily: i'm happy you like this shot. the day was crisp and clear and the sky was so beautifully blue, i just had to shoot the white birches against it. the moon was an added bonus! thank you for visiting. ~chris

Beautiful photo! I always seem to watch the sky. I've seen the most amazing things and was usually without a camera. I was lucky enough to catch two similar photo ops; one was in Port-au-Prince, Haiti with a palm tree. The other was up at Droop Mtn. Battlefield State Park in Pocahantas County, WV. I captured the midday moon alongside the lookout tower.

Keep up the good work.

What an amazing picture! I have been reading your blog over the last few days and am very inspired. I've recently started a blog about learning photography; so I've been taking a lot of pictures! I love your photos, and I'll continue to check in.

I'm a bit behind in my blog reading, so call me late to the party to congratulate you on being a Blog of Note. Anyway, you've picked up a new follower. I like this picture - even though it's still winter, the brightness of the sunshine gives hope for spring.
