for the birds

on the right, the new christmas birdfeeder. tonight it was filled with seed for the second time this week, so someone is dining there! my gift-giving friend insists this bird feeder is squirrel-proof. after only a week, i remain skeptical and will believe it when i see it - perhaps this weekend!

my spouse says that all squirrels are EXPERTS at accessing ALL BIRD FEEDERS . . . as for myself I just enjoy observing what will happen next . . . let us know if Sir Squirrel shows up at the new feeder!

district friend-
so far, the squirrel has paid this feeder no mind. not sure if he may have attempted to raid it and given up on it. what does happen is a woodpecker comes, gets his pointy beak in there, and flings the seed all over the place! so the feeder does not stay full very long. and guess who eats the seed that scatters? yup - sir squirrel! thanks for the comment(s). sure would be good to know who you are....

I went to put more bird seed out in are very large quail feeders, the birds always seem to eat all there seed so fast. I don't know now that we'v built the feeders if the quail even come through are yard anymore! Oh, and of course I put feed in 3 of are bird feeders too. There are just so many different kinds of birds in are yard sometimes, it's really beautiful!
