peony

things grow so quickly here once the ground and the air warm. here in the garden is new growth of peony, poking vivid-pink through the soil. yesterday, it was still submerged and nowhere in sight.

We here in the more southern climes are buddy out with peonies. I had planted them last spring and they did not do a thing! This year they have finally decided to take off.

It's incredible how quickly things pop out of the ground. Each day you're pleasantly surprised. I was today by purple clover and yellow buttercups.

I love my peonies, they remind me of my grandmother. Can't wait to see if they will bloom this year (I've moved one of the plants, they don't like that very much)

Peonies are so beautiful. A reminder of my younger days at home.
