umbrella
don't you think every child should have an umbrella for spring rain? i bought this one for the little girl and had been waiting for the perfect time to bring it to her. sunday it rained, so that was the day. after a few minutes of practicing umbrella techniques and etiquette, the little girl walked alongside me regally, holding the umbrella close and peering out through the plastic bubble and up at the rain. she kept smiling up at me through the colored dots and i think i was every bit as excited as she was. as luck would have it, these past days have been showery with more to come in the remainder of the week. now that she's fashionably attired for it, i sure hope the little girl's having fun in this rainy weather!

And what a lovely umbrella to introduce little girl to umbrella etiquette.
I always wanted a clear bubble umbrella as a kid. Actually, I wouldn't mind one now. I has been raining here for so long...I forget what the sun looks like.
I wish my grandmother had been as thoughtful.
What a beautiful umbrella!
gorgeous! definitely something to smile about!
unfortunately around here an umbrella isn't very useful... it barely ever rains, and when it does it can be a serious downpoar so it's actually better not to be out in it! I miss walks in the rain...
I remember as a little girl I had a favorite umbrella for the rainy days, the handle was wooden and carved into the shape of a duck's head. Painted to match. The umbrella itself was plain black, but the handle made up for it.
It wasn't nearly as fancy as this but it added a little bit of sunshine to my rainy days, I hope this one does the same for the little girl. :)
so sweet!!!!!
How fun!
Simple gifts are the best--what fun!
Fantastic! I've always wanted one of those kind. My sister and I had hideous pink and purple umbrellas when we were children. The only redeeming quality was the handle which was shaped like an animal head... I had the purple hippo. Lol. Enjoy the springtime!
I absolutely loved this post, from title to photo to text.
