surprise snow

woke up very early this morning to snow falling outside the window. snow! either i wasn't paying attention to the forecast or this storm wasn't predicted. but i watched a bit, mesmerized, reminded of what winter really is supposed to look like. then i fell back asleep, a fine thing to do on a snowy saturday morning.

So that is what winter looks like. I had forgotten somehow. There have been times during these winter months that I was concerned that the 'Al' had come to visit me, as he does so many old people and it really has been a normal winter, but being busy entertaining Al, I had forgotten that it snowed and reached sub zero temps.

Snow always seems like such a gift, but that's from a former teacher. I used to enjoy snow more, but people my age are moving to milder climates of Arizona and Florida.

Prepare for more. We are on day 3 of rain in Texas and it is still on the radar moving in. Beautiful picture!

I love weather....all kinds EXCEPT the extreme heat we get in Texas! I'll take rain, cold and snow anyday. I have never LIVED anywhere else but Texas so maybe I am being naive!

i am such a weather junkie. i like all kinds of weather, especially when it's unusual. like the "heat wave" we're supposed to be getting this week! i'm thinking i need to break out the birkenstocks!

Our weather has been unusual lately today was like an early summer day. We still haven't had much of a winter hope I haven't jinxed it.
