here are four shirts, all new within the last few weeks, all identical, except for color. when i find something i like (the brown one), then i buy another (the orange one). when i wear them and find how comfortable and utilitarian they are, how they can be worn under jackets or dressed up with scarves, i go back and buy two more (the maroon and the green). only by now, they're on sale! even better!
i so hate to shop. buying duplicates is one of the shopping strategies that gets me through one season after the next. but i think this is the first time i've ever bought four of the same item. four! better get out the scarves!

I can so relate to this. I hate to shop, really hate to shop. When I find something I like that fits, I too, buy multiples of it, which serves at least two purposes. 1) I have several things I like to wear, & 2) it keeps me from having to shop for several years. (I care nothing for changing style--I wear what I like until it's threadbare).
Reminds me of a strategy my Mom had while I was growing up. It was awfully tough for her to buy clothes for us that we liked, that when she found something we would actually wear, she bought as many duplicates as she could find, in various different colors. It worked 40 years ago - and it still works today!
Great strategy. Do it, myself. Thanks for sharing the fall colors.
when i used to make all my own clothes, i'd find a pattern that i really liked and i'd make it up in several different fabrics. from casual to dressy. joanna
I used to do that. Nowadays I find it hard to buy things in a lot of different colors. They just aren't there, unless they are very basic. Good luck with your shirts. May you wear them with joy.
This made me smile. I dislike shopping too~ maybe I should employ your idea!
