above: this must be of those red maple flowers, i think, and still on the tree. miniscule pink flowers with stems and stamens and petals and pistils. don't forget to click to make it show big! what this is below, i do not know. all i know is that i found it on a tree by the side of the road, not very far from this place.

I had hardly any idea about this sort of flower before this post.
Thanks for sharing.
Great macro shots of budding tree limbs! God is definately in the details!
Having lived up north most of my life, I love your blog. I miss the north. I am currently in Florida and not loving it so much. There are no change of seasons. But who knows, maybe I will get the opportunity to go back someday. Truly love your pictures and your writing.
I really liked your Blog, the photographs were similar to those I like to take although I am not always quite as successful. Spring in your part of the world, autumn in mine.
Real nice pictures. What camera do you use?
Beautiful reminders of what's to come! More spring weather and summer's on the way!
your pictures are always beautiful they make me want to grab my camera and go for a long walk taking pictures of everything for the whole day!

i think the second photo is a black cherry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prunus_serotina
i love to see trees in this stage of growth - such tiny parts but so much to see! my "good" camera is a canon digital rebel with a macro and a small telephoto lens. i also have a small point-&-shot sony cybershot that i carry with me everywhere. i'm honestly not sure what this second tree-flower is, but i remember where i took the picture and will go back to see how the tree grows! thanks for your visits and your kind comments!
I've never seen a flower like that before. Very cool photo.
beautiful pictures!
