april first
with so many good april fools' jokes on the internet, you'd think i might have been in a suspicious frame of mind today. but seeing this under the windshield wiper of my parked car struck momentary fear in my heart, even though i knew i wasn't illegally parked. turns out it was a promotional gag by an establishment in the area. i was so impressed with their creativity and the fact that they "got" me, i considered stopping in to tell them. but april fool's on them - i'll just blog about it instead!

LOL!!!
i heart this. lol
LOL...thanks for the chuckle. I needed that! :)
I've never had a ticket before so this would really freak me out. Especially if I knew I was parked legally.
that was cute. perfect for this early morning.
Good for the local biz for using this (on this day) as a promotional idea. very clever!
Very funny! I would have panicked too. I was amazed at how many times (in the same 5 minutes)that I "got" my kids today. Me and my co-teachers had fun! lol
In Australia, or at least in my state, some organisations used to leave promotional literature under windscreen wipers all the time. The practice is banned now because people threw the leaflets on the ground thus producing litter - an offence (with a $250 fine) in NSW!
LOL :)
Nice one!!
Must be a good marketing idea. It got your attention!

Had to comment...as you got exactly the reverse of my occurrence. "Oh, har har!" I thought with a wry smile as I approached my little car. Suffice to say, I wasn't laughing for very long. Maybe you've just earned more good karma than myself. Now if I could just stop running over squirrels... =P
May just start following your blog, keep up the good work sir! Just getting mine off the ground, hope I can enjoy a fragment of your popularity someday ;D
Nice sense of humour.. yours, I mean..
LOL! That was cute :)
Hahaha! That is absolutely AMAZING! hahaha! Great job! hahaha
It would have scared me. I'm still a little gun shy. Last year I parked in a handicapped spot by mistake. The sign was huge, but it was raining and I was thinking about a million things. I've never parked in one before, by the way. The fine here in lovely Xenia, Ohio was $250. My heart sunk. My husband was gracious, but I was miserable for a month. Glad yours wasn't real.
This is creative :)
good one...
