a driveway moment

rain in march is dreary and cold. but it washes away piles of january snow that have been dirty and ever-present for much too long. this taken from the driveway, through the windshield, while contemplating a dash between the raindrops and into warmth of the kitchen.

We had that the past few days...don't worry, sunshine is on its way! After the fog finally cleared this morning, we had a beautiful sunny day with temps in the low 60's! (which is amazing for MN in March!) Awesome picture.

We've had waaay to much rain these past 3 months for my taste... and although it's definitely good for our water reserves (semi-arid area with constant water problems), the farmers have been complaining as well in some parts of the country as the excesses and flooding are causing a loss in crops. Strawberries are going to be VERY expensive this year! :o(

That looks like my favorite kind of day. The kind where you can't bother to do anything but find a cup of coffee, a blanket, the recliner, and a good book.

Ahh ... that happened to me yesterday! I was sitting outside Starbucks in my car and it was POURING!! It was a toss up between soaking myself and buying a chocolate cream frappucino ... the frappucino won!! However, my dash to Starbucks was riddled with screams ... and of course I got soaked right through!! ha ha!

Its nice to see rain in your part of the world. We did had our first rain on 1st March but difference is that here in 'Asom' India, dust has been settled unlike in your part snow being washed. Our summer has started. Realy, watching rain drops from cosyness of kitchen with a cup of hot tea and hot snack is something to be cherished.

Have been waiting for the sun to come back out for the past two weeks. Supposedly, it is supposed to make an appearance on Thursday.

i like photographing all forms of water and am especially fascinated when i can catch an inverted reflection in a drop. i also love to linger in the driveway, in the car, especially in the rain or snow. thank you for your thoughts and your comments.
