i am of the fervent belief that anyone who has christmas decorations still on public display after ash wednesday should be heavily fined (double the fine for icicle lights) and made to consume all thats left of last years fruitcake. what do you think?

oh dear! i hope that doesn't count for decorations inside the house. oh well! i happen to love fruitcake!!
no - decorations in the house are on private display and therefore not subjected to the fine! as i type this, i can glance up at a framed needlework of three santas that the girl did for me some years back - that stays up all year round.
