tick

spring around here is tick-time and this year is a banner one. since wednesday evening, ten of these minibeasts have made their way inside and quickly met their demise squashed between two lengths of scotch tape. however, one got away and was caught too late - this morning, embedded in my side. alas, tweezer removal was unsuccessful and a trip to the emergency room ensued. there the little sucker was surgically removed, still clinging to the small ellipse of skin in the blue plastic bowl. needless to say, tonight, hours later, my skin is still crawling.

Yuck, I was infiltrated by a tick once and that was enough for me. I took antibiotics afterwards and didn't have any bad after effects. I always check the dog for them. I do hate those little buggers. I see no good use for them.

Poor poor you, how awful those 'little' beasts are. How bothersome for you. Hope all is well! Bye for now, Star

I hope it wasn't a deer tick. I had a battle with Lyme last year. Those little creepy crawlies are always after us.

I miss the old NH days when I used to flop in the field under a summer sky to watch the clouds, roam the woods to see how many wildflowers I could identify in my wildflower guide, and climb trees all over the place without ever once seeing a tick. So sorry you had this happen!

I live in a pocket of lymes' as both neighbors have battled versions of tick diseases. We have them in abundance in the spring and I have removed FOUR already from hubby! Yuck! They come in on us...not otherwise. Do you have pets that bring them inside?

Yuck yuck yuck. I HATE ticks. Little Murphy is a magnet, although the meds I give him seem to be working now. BTW, what antique shop had that needlework? I love that piece!!!
