mother's day

it appears that mother's day without one's mother does not necessarily get easier with time. at least, not yet. maybe next year.

(((hugs)))

It is my Mom's first Mother's day without a mom~ I wish I could have been there in person to give her a hug.

No it does not seem to get any easier. It has been 9 years since my mom passed. I have always been the one to want to buy flowers and visit her burial site, but I just could not do it this year.
So here is a HUG for you.

Thinking of you - Fathers' Day without my father was a big deal last year so I can imagine...

i understand your grief; on the other hand, i have to assume that your daughter was counting her blessings, as was *her* daughter. from what you've said about your mother, this is probably the best possible tribute.

I am sorry you have lost your Mom. I cannot deal with Father's day either. It has been 5 years and still painful. My thoughts are with you

Dear Chris, so very sorry...here's the Milan urban vegetation post I promised you; it's just in time to send you a virtual hug from Milan: http://mymilanitaly.blogspot.com/2011/05/honeysuckle.html. If you'd like to share it with the others, too, that would be nice.

It helps if you are a mother yourself and sh is in turn a mother, don't you think? I'm in the same position and we do adapt. It's sad, but live goes on and on...

My thoughts and prayers are with you Chris. Your mom left a wonderful legacy; a daughter who remembers her with love.
