garden tour

this place is so far north it has a very short growing season. yet some folks here have the most beautiful flowers and the most amazing vegetables. a visit to the garden at helen's yielded beans, cabbage, carrots, and a pepper. and more tiny seeds from spent poppy pods to try growing again next season.

That sounds very exciting and challenging. It must be tough to garden under those circumstances.

Nora: truly, i don't know how they do it. i know what our growing season is like here and i can only imagine how much shorter it is that much farther north. thankfully, this has been a very long summer, weather-wise. maybe that has something to do with it.
