spring evergreens

glancing out the window, i was taken by the brilliant green tips of the new growth on the pines at the edge of the woods. such a contrast to the mature "ever-green" growth that's been there for a year's time.

I think the hemlocks are particularly nice in the spring.

thank you, Linda, so glad you like the photos. i have to take about a dozen shots to get just one that i am happy with. Tabor: hemlocks are great year round - i particularly like the petite little cones. Jenny Schouten Short and Lynne, i adore greens - so many shades, so many textures. i have a spring blooming shade garden that fades this time of year til i am left with only the greenery - and it's one of my favorite spots to sit in summer. star: the yellow header flowers came from an elderly friend who is amazing with plants and freely shares. she calls them "english primrose".
