muted beauty



here's the last saturday in october - with autumn foliage long since past its peak color, but still dazzling in spots, especially against a cold, grey sky like this morning's.

I sure do envy the beautiful fall colors the eastern states produce! I went out looking for some 'color' today....I think I found only a couple of trees with that vibrant orange/red color I love. Beautiful photos you've taken:)

It's those fantastic maple trees you have there that make the difference. We don't have that color here in the Netherlands. It does make it very special for you.
