on 10-10-10, it's the perfect fall day in the perfect fall weekend. apple festivals and craft fairs, foliage and wood smoke, pumpkins from the garden, butternut squash soup and hearty breads for supper. a frost last night gives the morning air that crisp coldness that lingers on your cheeks even after you go back into the warmth of the kitchen. this vibrant time of year is when i'm most thankful to be exactly where i am right now.

Autumn is definitely a wonderful month. This is the first year I have my own pumpkins that grew in my garden! I'm looking forward to wrapping up warm against the crisp night air and enjoying some homemade pumpkin soup. Can't beat it :)
Your much more advanced into the season then over here in London. We are still just on the turn
It's a beautiful time of year, but I'm always a little sad to see summer go.
Yes, love Autumn. The leaves are just stating to change here. It is going to be 87 and sunny today. Not weather to expect for October. Ready for some chrisp days.
Thank you so much for sharing this taste of frosty autumn, and for reminding me of the 10-10-10! It has been overcast, here, but some chilly blue sun snuck out this afternoon, while I wasn't looking!
Well said :D
We haven't had a frost yet and have been blessed with good weather, but it's definitely autumn. I sure do like this season and am happy to see the leaves change color, but dread what comes after this and don't want to think about it. I would like to stay in suspended animation forever.
OH I love this post!!! This time of the year just brings me such joy! And, your words...they are perfect. There's a crisp feeling of renewal in the air and it's wonderful. LOVE the picture too!!
It is Spring in this part of the world, but the 10th day of the 10th month was also close to perfect down under, mild and sunny, a warm breeze with a hint of jasmine in the air and people out enjoying the light, bright Sunday.
What lovely words. This is a poem...a tribute to autumn. No frosts for several weeks here.
Thanks from Florida. I miss the change of seasons and all that comes with them.
