today autumn thinks it's here. but i can tell it's still coming.

equinox 2010
other years i've missed it, this changing of the seasons. i've looked up from my work or i've sped around a corner and been jolted to see that fall has come on so quickly while i was busy with other things. but this year, i've noticed. i've watched color creep in a bit at a time, each day a little less green and a little more vibrant. i've felt the subtle change in air, the cool northern undertones of the breeze. i've seen the morning light slanting at a new angle as it filters in through windows. i'm watching it happen.

That is nice. I will see it in New York next week!

I really love to pause my mechanical life and enjoy the delightful nature. You have the chance to enjoy and appreciate it's beauty,I envy you....
Keep up your good work, less though seem the content you post are really personal..
autumn feels more subdued and calm from the craziness of summer. when vacation ends and longer nights come in. same feeling from here, where we do not have four seasons.
wow Costas..."we'll start to live longer nights"
What a beautiful way to look at it!
Isn't it wonderful when we are awake and use our senses
tuned in to the passing of a season!
Oh, how lovely it is to see the colors of fall through your eyes. Here, on the West coast -- though I've experienced the joy of a Midwest fall (twice!) -- we see little of that.
It's a gift to be able to recieve the range of your meditative insights.
Thanks for sharing! I'm so glad you are making the time to watch fall come in. Enjoy each moment:-)
aww, I miss the fall colors! Don't exactly have seasons here, but I do love looking at pictures...
True, we're on the cusp of Fall, but it's not quite here yet...
I have seen it both in spring, in summer and now that your seasons coincide exactly with ours in mid-Norway. Fall has started making its marks outside my window as well. - btw I just came across your advent calendar from 2008. Such a good idea! And it is great the way you write personal, yet it is all so easy to relate to.
