Down here it's softly raining and the temperature is holding at around fifty. Cold and damp enough to keep the heat on. No snow or freezing rain, but some drivers lose IQ points whenever the weather doesn't cooperate. Extra caution on rainy days here.
I would like to say that your photos are a work of art. The references to Candlemas and the equinoxes was also very appropriate for this photo. I'll be visiting more often keep up the nice work.
Hi Chris! I found your blog through "bloggers of note" and I loved the first one I read. I just started blogging a few weeks ago and am still trying to figure it all out. That's why I decided to check out some other blogs a couple of days ago. And there you were... I really love your photos, too! Thanks for sharing with us! --GG
I love February 2nd. Something about it just takes whatever kind of day I'm having and turns it around for me. I think it's the knowing that in 6 weeks it'll be Spring. Even if the groundhog saw his shadow and says otherwise! :)
Lost is just over and i am left with even more questions. it sure was a good episode, though!
the icicle shot was tough to get - standing there with camera, trying to time the drips so i could get one in mid-air. another example of the ridiculous number of pictures i take to get one good shot!
agent M, i think ripping january off a calendar is theraputic. even though it was 24° here this morning, a lone bird was up in the woods singing what sounded a lot like a spring song...
I remember being so excited when we could spot the first brave crocus that poked its little green head up. Spring was just around the corner when that occurred.
Down here, Spring is full of Texas Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush flowers along the highways, if the winters have been wet enough.
Thanks, Lady Bird for making sure that many generations have enjoyed the flowers along our highways.
I read your blog and I like it very much. I too am a lost fan (in CT) and had a blast for 3 hours last night). Thank God for the snow delay this morning so I could sleep in. I wonder in you have a chance some time, you might take a gander at my blog and tell me what you think? kidstodayoyvay.blogspot.com

I love your photos!
What a great picture!
Was that the result of patience or providential timing?
Either way - that's one of those that doesn't happen just every day.

Take a look at my snow/icicle photos!
