winter flowers

mid-january and we've finally had our first appreciable snowstorm. it's finally freezing. it's finally time to buy myself some flowers to ward off the winter woes. this weekend i bought stock. if ever i could blog a smell, this would be the one. it's pungent, spicy, smells a bit like cloves. heavenly. all day long, as i walk around in layers and fleece for the first time this winter, i wander by the stock, stick my nose in it, and inhale deeply. smells like winter!

I also love the smell of stock. It lasts a long time as well.

I also adore the smell!

I love all stocks, particularly Night Scented Stock. My Dad used to say if you could bottle that smell, you could make a fortune!

You've warmed me up just remembering those lovely smells!

Should it be sold as a perfume? Or would it be too heady? It sounds wonderful.

Nora:if it were sold as perfume, i'd sure buy it! next time you're near a florist, see if you can find it and take a sniff. it's heavenly!!
Tabor and Anne: so excited that you are familiar with the smell of stock. lots of people i know don't even know what the flower is.
