world of white

beautiful snowstorm this february saturday. fat fluffy flakes and a forecast of a prolonged event are sure signs that there will be snow to shovel in the morning. but for now, i stay inside and look out, trying to find color in a stark white world.

What a beautiful photograph Chris...I love the red bird house and still love the snow...I can say that because I know it won't last long now so enjoy the beauty.

Really lovely, thanks! We've gotten a lot of snow (for us!) this year, too, but the flakes are tiny and a bit icy, so--with the help of a bit of salt--the roads and sidewalks have mostly stayed clear.

I think you need to publish a coffee table book of your photographs. [I would buy it!] Or start entering them in contests and fairs. Your perspective is amazing and beautiful.

looks like that here, this morning...i doubt it will last...just barely freezing; but because of that relative warmth, everything has a bright, soft coat of white. i love it.

amazing how warm this old house stays when there's a blanket of snow around it! i am sitting here having morning coffee in short sleeves! i know it won't last - but it IS the most beautiful sort of snow there is. late last night, i went outside and it was magical - the air was still, sounds were muffled, and it was all white. thanks for comments on the photo - the little girl's birdhouse is such a pop of color out the window as are the few cranberries i strung for the rogue robin that was around a few weeks back. other than that - white everywhere!
