Nora, morning glories are annuals here. my mother swore they reseeded themselves when i was a kid but I've never had that happen here. i've always loved the way they open in the morning and close at night. i used to think they were magic!
Lynne and Star, i noticed this flower out the window and went out to shoot it. but it was hard to get a good "front" shot, so i tried from the back, shooting into the morning sun. i loved the points of light and the luminosity of the petals. but i felt like it couldn't stand alone and would present better if the front were shown, too.

perfect day; love the morning glory!
And I love them both too! They were one of my Dads favourite flowers.
Very pretty. I like it from both sides too. Is it an annual or a perennial?

The sun shining through the flower is so pretty.
What a lovely idea to shoot the flower from the back. The light through the petals is lovely. Thanks!

Beauty in simplicity! I prefer the shot from behind the flower, though both are very nice.
Beautiful! I'm back from 4 weeks of 10 grands and many other visitors at our camp...so I am catching up. hope your summer is lovely.
