ranunculus & more snow

the weekend flowers, purchased yesterday at a break in the snowy weather. thanks to the bride who could not use them, i have a vibrant pink spot in an otherwise white and weary weekend, strategically positioned so i can focus on them rather than on the scenery beyond. more snow today, more tomorrow. someone once commented that i don't like snow, when in fact, i do like it. i love snow. just not so much of it for so long, that's all.

  3. The flowers are lovely and in one of my favorite colors. Too bad the bride couldn't use them. I hope her heart wasn't broken. Unlike you, I only like snow on the same day it falls. Beyond that I don't care for it. I'm a mild weather person and I should live in the sub-tropics. Enjoy your day.

  5. I couldn't agree more. Even now as more snow is falling I can't help wondering at the beauty of it. And dreading another day of shoveling at the same time.

  9. They are lovely. Spring is a little closer. The trees are budding in Texas if that's a consolation. Hopefully they will follow up north. xxoo jenny

  13. I'm with you Chris-It's just that this winter has been ridiculous and we are really ready for spring this year in New England!
BTW, Many thanks for the tip about the Russian olive tree - I think you hit it on the head. I've googled it and yes, that looks like the culprit. Who'd have thought?!

  15. Gorgeous flowers. I crave cut flowers at this time of the year when I am rushing the arrival of springtime. I can't often indulge myself because they don't last longer than two or three days.
