maine moon
my final summertime hurrah, visiting a friend who lives on the coast in a northernmost part of new england. this is the view from her porch on this warm august night, with the crescent moon and venus both setting in the evening sky over the reach.

Nakia and Mrs. DeRaps: maine is truly a beautiful place. this shot was taken on the coast a bit south of machias. Tara: it's always a bit of a pleasant jolt to realize that someone is reading this blog at the end of the season opposite mine!
