going home again
over the weekend, after a visit with relatives, i took a side trip through the small town where i grew up. it's still hard to believe i have no connections left to a place that leaves me with such wonderful memories.
I also have no connections left to the town I was born in and lived in until I was 8 years old. But I do have good memories of it. I will go back some day and visit it. I still vividly know what the place looks like in my mind.
My mom is still alive, but they would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this year. I think it's cool that you wear your mom's ring. What nice memories you must have when you see it every day. Hugs to you.

You are much braver than me - I am scared to go back to places that hold too many memories! Terrified of all the ghosts I will see
